It looks as though Renault has come up with a real competitor for the Fiat 500 with its all-new Twingo.

The engine has been mounted underneath the boot floor, and this car is rear-wheel drive, which allows for plenty of room in the cabin and a tiny turning circle. Buyers will be able to choose from 69bhp and 89bhp versions of a 900cc petrol engine. And while we don’t have official specs just yet, expect fuel economy of around 70mpg, with emissions of 95g/km.
We’ve got our fingers crossed that Renaultsport will be allowed to work its magic on the Twingo in future, too.
